A bunch from this morning's stroll with a lens I had neglected for a while.

M10M + 1949 collapsible Fuji Cristar 50/2, all @ f/3.2 (this lens sports unusual aperture markings: 2, 2.2, 3.2, 4.5, 66.3, 9 and 12.5)

I have to say the standard Yashica 50mm is not a bad lens. Colour, sharpness and contrast thats all I need.

...4.5 / 6.3 / 9 / 12.5 and 18 or the "German" scale (although also found on French, Japanese, Dutch and even US lenses, like the one on Argus C pre-war) was used before standardization in the 30s/40s on lenses like Summar, Elmar, Old Delft Minor etc.
The step algorithm is the same as modern multiplied by approximately 1.41

Thank you, Al for correcting my typo: it is indeed 6.3, not 66.3 of course. Re scale, I know... I also own a few of these lenses. I get lost in my thoughts sometimes and should have been more specific: what's unusual is to see this scale so late on a Japanese lens. There are possibly others, but the only other one that I'm aware of is the Nikkor 50/3.5 for the early Hansa Canon - and that was before the war erupted, well over a decade before the Fuji was made.

Two more from this morning with the Fuji Cristar on the M10M, again @ f/3.2

I have one on my Contax & Yashica bodies and have always been pleased with its results. Your shot testifies to its worthiness.

From a well-made Czech lens from the 50's. Intended for the Opema RF cameras, with an odd 38-ish mm thread mount.
