exploring that triplet most shots wide open, you can focus this lens from inifnity to close with the help of the proper bellows

for convenience I swapped the body from LTM to M10 https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/320879-am-wochenende-fotografiere-ich-mit-weitere-beiträge-erwünscht/page/16/#comment-4423949

Thanks! Bassano del Grappa, Italy. The bridge (Ponte Vecchio, aka Ponte degli Alpini) was originally designed by Canova and subsequently destroyed by flood, war, etc. - and rebuilt several times. Because of its strategic location across the river Brenta, its history is closely related to the military history of Italy itself, from the Napoleonic Wars to WWII.

Two more "tourist shots" from the same series, also with the CZJ Sonnar 40/2 on the M10P ASC:

@farnz  Does a v4 50mm Summicron (Midland) qualify for this thread?

Oddly enough I've been wondering about that very point...

Even although my own lens is approaching 40-y-o as the current (non-AO) 50mm Summicron shares the same optical design as the v4 it's a very valid question.

Philip.

If you have a look at the opening post in this thread I've written: "There's no restriction on the type of lens except that it should not be the current model, no restriction on the camera used (forum rules apply of course so either the lens or the camera or both must be made by Leica), no restriction on content, and it's okay if they've been posted on the forum previously."  So both of your lenses qualify.

(The 50 Summicron is a little unusual in that, at the time of writing, there are two current models, the 50/2 Summicron v5 11826 (with the pull out hood) and the 50/2 APO-Summicron asph 11141 that would fail to qualify for this thread.)

Thank you for your inquiries, I hope this answers both of your questions, and I look forward to pictures from your lenses. 😊

Pete.
