Would you mind sharing how you make the borders? Thank you! I make a print with a narrow edge from outside the negative. So I print the negative for 100% plus a border of the unexposed film around it. I have a magnifying board with sliding masks, so that's very easy to do. Outside the black border, a white border of the unexposed photo paper can be seen. Erik.

Erik van Straten Posted October 16, 2021 Share #8009 Posted October 16, 2021 I use a Focomat IIc. This enlarger accepts negatives from 6x9cm and smaller. I use the special Leitz 35mm carrier for 24x36mm with anti newton glass. Its mask is slightly larger than the negatives, so black borders are easy to do. gelatin silver print (elmar 50mm f3.5) leica I (1928) Erik. Welcome, dear visitor!
