At infinity corners are not good even at f/8-11. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! It’s just for the public here to state that it is highly unlikely that you can find such a sharp lens (well illustrated by your photo) under real old Leica lenses (for a few hundred bucks for instance). Do think the Leica culture begs a degree of pedantic thinking. Don't you? Perhaps even why some of us like it. Let's bump elbows and move on my friend. Yes, it sharp! After shooting mostly Mandler lenses of late, it is strangely satisfying. LOL. Regards. P.S. Sarcastic not ironic. Confess to letting that character flaw escape now and then. Apologies. 1

This is the second collapsible I have, and both with similar rendering when trees are behind the subject with sun rays passing through the leaves. This is actually the main reason why I have it over any other Summicrons, because from the rigid onwards the rendering becomes much more modern. This was shot on one from 1956 LTM, which was CLA’ed in February. I also have a Red scale elmar 50mm f3.5, which I actually shot on the same day under the same conditions but because the aperture doesn’t go to f2 the effect is much more limited than with the Summicron.
