Good response. My intent was not to create animosity or distract the purpose of the thread. I was only trying to explain why some using digital might not achieve the same look as others using the same lenses with certain films, especially historical emulsions.  I should think they might appreciate why that occurs.

Perhaps start a separate thread on the subject.

The purpose, as repeated by Ecar was to gather the outcomes of lenses, regardless of film or digital. I value and respect that; it would be helpful if contributors included the film used as do the digital camera enthusiasts record their camera/sensor.

Or simply  write your post in a respectful way ...

Of course. Lay out your personal sensitivities so we can all tip-toe around them. (Kidding)

FWIW it appreciate your photography. Sometimes what we do is more important than what we say. Such is photography. I appreciate your visual contributions.

The hardest thing to convey accross internet and  languages is humour , I gave up trying to crack a joke in a foreign -  foreign to me - language ages ago.

Thank you Pierovitch. I agree and I liked the lens so much I searched out and bought another one. In case I lose or break my current one. Optically good condition ones are very hard to find

Those are lovely shots, Chaps, and thanks for the support.

Dirk, I've seen those superb shots before and they caused to me to lust after a 73/1.9 but I overcame the lust over time. But now it's started again! :o:D.
