Paulus Posted July 30, 2013 Share #1544 Posted July 30, 2013 .280 f/4 APO-Telyt-R with M240. Wauw Pete! Did you do this on a tripod? At what shutter speed?
farnz Posted July 30, 2013 Author Share #1545 Posted July 30, 2013 (edited) Paulus, Thank you, and I took the shot handheld at 1/2000th. I wouldn't have used such a high shutter speed but forgot to reset the ISO from 1000 although I decided that there was no need for noise reduction in pp. The thing that struck me most during pp was the amount of detail that this lens resolves. I'd read a lot but seeing is believing: see for yourself in this 100% crop, particularly the tiny hairs on her nose. Welcome, dear visitor! menos I M6 Posted August 2, 2013 Share #1548 Posted August 2, 2013 I love those colours rirakuma! Simply beautiful! I am still in full out play mode with the Leica S2, that I added some weeks ago to my gear. I love these play mode times with new gear, as you just go out, have fun and experiment with different lenses, techniques and also subjects. It always takes some time, to pin down which standard combinations to make from cameras and lenses to use. Here is one combo, that I never intended to make into such a standard combination for everyday use, but it surely is fun - Leica S2 + Mamiya 300 2.8 APO super telephoto. On the S2, this lens means travelling back in time: manual focus, no auto aperture, heavy, but fun … who knows, as I used to shoot long lenses with the Nikon mostly handheld, this might as well turn out as a companion lens to carry in the future … handheld, 1/60sec, wide open @f2.8: the runner by teknopunk.com, on Flickr … and one with a lens, that seems to turn out as one of my future favourite portrait lenses, 120 f4 Carl Zeiss Apo-Makro-Planar: portrait - Canon shooter by teknopunk.com, on Flickr

Keith (M) Posted August 3, 2013 Share #1555 Posted August 3, 2013 Walking on the Marlborough Downs on Wednesday, I took this shot with my M9 and 1967 Summaron 35mm. Shortly afterwards, the shot below was taken with my 1957 IIIg + 1955 Summicron 50mm on Fuji Acros 100. Welcome, dear visitor!
