I ordered a black one yesterday from a dealer in Stockholm Sweden. Used in a mint condition and for fair price as well. It should be delivered tomorrow. So excited :)

1. I ordered a black Leica MP, as well. Purchased it at Adorama.com, in New York City, USA. It should ship on Monday (04 Oct 2010) and I should have it on Tuesday (05 Oct. 2010), since I ordered with overnight delivery. ;)

2. Adorama.com, appear to have other Leica MP Bodies in-stock (both Black and Silver), as seen at this link: leica mp - Adorama.com

My poor, injured MP rests in its hospital bed after being dropped whilst trekking in the Yellowstone wilderness.

The damage:

She still seems to be functioning perfectly though.

I took my M6 and MP to Yellowstone. I have to say I definitely prefer the solid feel of the MP. I'm not keen on the plastic film advance lever of the M6, or the delicate feel of the rewind knob. Somehow, the MP feels smaller in my hands

What a wonderful treasure this thread has become

On 7th November it will reach four years of age

It is a chronicle of photographers, photos and mechanical perfection

I am extremely pleased at all the 35 'Cron lenses I see, as I believe it is the finest length of all for this camera body

Together the 35 Cron and MP make a compact, beautifully balanced and elegant photographic tool

Thank you all. I cannot wait to run a first roll through it.

Rob, the "4" means that it only has 4 framelines; 35/135, 50 and 90; one of the main reasons why I went a la carte. The advantage is that the 50 and 90 framelines are "standalone". I sold my M2 to afford this, and this was the nearest modern equivalent to the classical M2 framelines.

My M7 is a .85 too, but still has the 75mm framelines. Between the two, I have all that I want or need.

Happy now... :cool::D

Regards,

Bill
