Stealth3kpl Posted December 9, 2012 Share #2806 Posted December 9, 2012 If it makes it any easier, the seller told me he's happy to sell the body alone at £4000, and both items at £4500. Pete

farnz Posted December 9, 2012 Share #2808 Posted December 9, 2012 It's doubtless sacrilege to pose the question but (as a MP BP owner) ... what's the benefit of a chrome MP3 over a M2 + light meter? Pete.
andybarton Posted December 9, 2012 Share #2809 Posted December 9, 2012 None. They will both take the same photograph. I'm going to find a rubber eye piece surround or my M2 and use it more often.

bill Posted December 9, 2012 Share #2811 Posted December 9, 2012 Hows that then (speaking as an MP M2 owner)? Regards, Bill Sent from another Galaxy
wattsy Posted December 10, 2012 Share #2812 Posted December 10, 2012 ...still cannot believe it features *that* film speed dial. Really. Yes, that dial (like the one on the M7) is not Leica's finest piece of engineering. I assume it is made by a third party supplier that also makes the gifts that go in Christmas crackers.
wattsy Posted December 14, 2012 Share #2813 Posted December 14, 2012 Oh, My! Check out this beauty. My perfect M. ...If it makes it any easier, the seller told me he's happy to sell the body alone at £4000, and both items at £4500. Has nobody bought that MP yet? It's got to be worth £4000 of anyone's money. A bog standard à la carte (if that makes sense:)) Leica is going to cost that before you even get into the realms of anything fancy. gyoung Posted December 14, 2012 Share #2814 Posted December 14, 2012 None. They will both take the same photograph. I'm going to find a rubber eye piece surround or my M2 and use it more often. Is there an easy source for rubber eyepiece surrounds? I could do with one for my M3, its scratched too many left lenses on my varifocals over the years! andybarton Posted December 14, 2012 Share #2815 Posted December 14, 2012 I'm still looking. Apparently, DAG in the US have them, but I'd rather find a UK source.

Keith (M) Posted December 21, 2012 Share #2820 Posted December 21, 2012 (edited) Just to get us back on topic... My six-month old 0.58 alc has been on a strict monochrome diet so far, but today I decided award it an early Christmas present - a roll of Agfa Vista+ 200 colour neg (£1 from Poundland - last of the big spenders, that's me). Looking forward to seeing how the 1967 Summaron 35mm renders colour. Mind you, given the weather forecast it will probably more a case of how it renders dull greys! Welcome, dear visitor!
