Paulus Posted December 16, 2016 Share #3505 Posted December 16, 2016 I always thought, that the " thumbs up " was made for digital cameras to imitate the feeling one had with a M6/MP when you use it...
Guest Posted December 16, 2016 Share #3506 Posted December 16, 2016 Hi all, Does anyone use a Thumb Up (like MTS EP-1S or CSEP-1S) on the Leica MP? ciao m I've met one left-eyed shooter who uses a thumbs-up combined with a Rapidwinder (similar to the Leicavit). He uses his left eye to frame and focus the image and his left hand to advance the film. In his case, the thumbs-up gives him a better grip on his camera as he uses his right hand only to opperate the shutter dial- and button.

sumolux Posted December 27, 2016 Share #3516 Posted December 27, 2016 Vulcanite, a number 6 engraved on the top and a compulsion to spend even more money than you would on an MP. And much less money than the equivalent in the a la carte version As well as owning a piece of Leica history, limited at that, with the first ever MP's that entered the marketplace on trial. Not unlike those other crazy people here who still buy screwmonunt cameras that cost more than an M6

Not unlike those other crazy people here who still buy screwmonunt cameras that cost more than an M6 Rather more difference between a screwmount Leica and an M6 than an engraved number 6 on an MP but, hey, if it's important to you....... colint544 Posted January 5, 2017 Share #3520 Posted January 5, 2017 M2 to MP, 50 years Vulkanite to Sharkskin (HP5+, Zeiss Planar 110mm) 16164-161229-0009.jpg I've often wondered what the chrome stud on the M2 is for. It doesn't appear on any of the later M series.
