From the Valley of the Saints. This is one of the steepest valleys in Lebanon, located in Cedars region. Filled with inaccessible network caves where  christians used to hide from Ottomans. Today, many of the caves are used by hermits.

he's got nice hiking boots for a hermit ...... that aside, great shot .... you should try to take the shot with someone dressed a bit more biblical :-)

 

as usual, I always enjoy your photos...

Had the man standing there been an hermit, this should would have make it into National Geographic :-) too bad I couldn't replace my friend with one.

Also your note on the hiking boots made me laugh. Nice one:-)))

This has a real timeless quality to it. It looks as if could have been shot in the 50s
