It began when I was a mere six years old (I’m now 67). I loved walking up and down it as a child. The Gulf of Mexico from Galveston to Corpus and Padre Island epitomizes summer vacation, fishing for Gulf trout, sunburns, and sand where sand shouldn’t be.
