Thank you, Mark. Very much appreciated.

I'm normally not much of a colour person - I tend to prefer (high-contrast) B&W. So, when I process for colour, I sometimes enjoy playing with the sliders :p.

The two square pictures from Thailand were mainly the results of my experiments with the calibration panel in LR (old ACR/process version). I also dialed in some contrast, vignetting and, obviously, cropped the originals. No standard recipe, just getting to a result I liked in each case. They would most likely come out differently if I did it again today...

The Miami pictures OTOH, are a much better reflection of the M8 sensor's output. They are not straight OOC, but I only did some minor WB, contrast and saturation/luminance tweaks for these.

In 2016, the M8's CCD sensor (if not its ergonomics...) still holds its own for colour - and the thin IR filter makes it great for B&W. I have since moved on to the M9/MM and M240, but still use my M8 and M8.2 when I don't need high ISO.

And, with a bit of care when exposing, the DR is not bad either - one more with M8 + Summilux 21 on Miami Beach back in 2009:

Thank you, Adam - much appreciated.

Here's another one, taken with the M8 and a Summilux 21 this time.

Wonderful colors that you get (got) from that M8. Wow.

Here is a shot of (i am pretty sure) the same life guard post from a couple of months ago...

Thanks, Adam. Indeed, it looks very much like it. Funny to see how these change over time.

Another one with the M8 and the Summilux 21, moving eastward (Providenciales, Turks & Caicos):

Another wonderful interest-packed photo. You'd make a great M8 salesman if they were still being sold :)

 ... not nearly as good as you would be if you started selling film ;)

Besides, used M8s in good condition can now be had for a (relatively) moderate price.

I must admit I miss film sometimes, but the convenience of digital (or perhaps my own laziness...) won me over several years ago.

But I'm digressing. Here's two more from the same camera/lens/place/date:
