excellent, Jean Marc.  That beach is so iconically cool.  The one with the colored filter (accidentally?) kept on the lens has its own unique look, that grows on me the more I look at it :)

Great colors and composition.  Thanks for your contribution!!  I especially like this one.  It is so simply yet so effective in its composition and color palette.

Coogee Beach, Sydney

M7, Portra 400, 1.4/35 Summilux ASPH

I too left a yellow filter on thinking it was B&W film so I fiddled further with the crap colour...

Certainly didn't get the yellow of Jean Marc's photo.

West coast of the Isle of Wight towards Compton Bay. This might look like a photograph from the 1970s but I took it less than a couple of weeks ago using an expired (circa 2006) roll of Velvia 100.

I miss the Island, I grew up across the Solent. I think the IOW has something '1970s' about it, whatever the medium. :)

Funny I'd tagged your shot (before I read your subsequent reply on the same topic) because the shadows of the lamposts are Maroubra to me. What I was aiming for in the first shot above.

I'm amazed we don't cross paths more often since we clearly are crossing paths!

Thx !

The subject just works so well with the accidental yellow, awesome mistake! I too have left the yellow filter attached but on M9 with far less interesting results.

Another Maroubra icon!

And a couple of older shots of William Hearst Memorial Beach, San Simeon, California (with 50 Summicron-R and 28 Elmarit-R)

Had to 'break in' to the beach for this sunrise (National Park closed until after dawn)
