Very first image out of my Q. Agree with the above poster. Manual focus is probably best. I'd have chosen the heart shaped center stem if I were picking....but still and all, this Q is amazing...

Very beautiful. Thanks and congratulations.

Thanks Infinium.  One of many great things about the Q is the depth that is available in the raw files.  I've been using a Nikon D500 and D800 for general stuff over the past few years, and the juice just hasn't been worth the squeeze relative to using raw with those cameras.  There really is something different and special with Q raw files though.

I absolutely love the macro mode on the Q and photographing little critters around my house. This spider showed up this morning. Pretty big to not be noticed before now. I carefully took a few images then gently placed him / her outside. One trick I learned is to gently place them in a container then put that in the refrigerator (don't tell my wife) for a few minutes. It does not hurt them as best I can tell. That slows them down for a minute or two so they can be photographed.

I live in a zoo and love it. The macro mode on the Q is so convenient. I saw this guy and immmediatelly ran and got my Q. No fumbling changing lenses. I got one shot and he was gone.

Common Garter Snake. Very harmless and helps keep the garden tidy of little pests. I'm very impressed with how sharp the photo was. I could push sharpening in LR quite far without the image developing halos or looking obviously over-sharpened.

ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/100 of a sec, handheld, macro mode.
