As a fairly new Apple user I wonder if someone with more experience could give me directions as how to post a photo on this page of the forum.

It isn't obvious to me, but then nothing seems too clear at times.

I first worked with computers in 1967 so please be gentle. I do understand logic and probably know more about the WWW than most people as I worked with it before it was public. All the same I have no idea how to post my photos to this forum. Is it me or the forum?

Just saw your question in the newsfeed Peter and thought I would have a go at answering, though my grasp of today's technology is limited and I'm not known for giving the clearest of directions.  However, if I can do it then absolutely anyone can.

It does need you to have your image saved and ready in a suitable size on your harddrive.   If you reply to topic as you have done above, introduce your image with whatever detail you wish to add, then click on "More Reply Options" box, bottom left corner.  There you will see Attach files - choose files, click on that and locate your image from wherever it is stored on your hard drive, once it is uploaded you will have the option to add to post.  All done at that point you can click on add reply.

Hope that helps and I haven't left you more confused, good luck.

Thank you, Boojay, for a clear set of directions.

Well, it's been a month I'm sure, and I'm still in love with the M-D.  The M9 (kept 'just in case') is looking to head towards the sale table very soon.  The M-D just does everything I need it to.  Not every shot works, but then that was the casr with film, with my Pentax DSLR, and with the M9.  This was taken today, in Paris.  Some cropping, but not much.

Cowdray ruins. Cowdray Castle, built by the previous whipping boy of Prince Henry who became King Henry VIII was meant to be a smaller version of Hampton Court Palace and was constructed in 1520 with the same Tudor style. Sadly, it burnt down about 100 years later. The stone work survives to this day.

Shot taken with a Summicron M 50mm APO and M240-P.  f/6.8 ISO 400. 1/1000th of a second exposure.

This is a cosplayer at Kraken Con in Oakland yesterday. M240 and 35mm Summicron with off-camera SF 40 flash. I find that taking portraits at these events in landscape format with the 35mm and then cropping to a square works really well.
