Schrödinger's cat Posted April 26, 2016 Share #44 Posted April 26, 2016 Is this how one has to dress in Texas with everyone open-carrying? It's not mandated, but desirable. Rather like the boots and hat I wear on my cattle ranch and when visiting my oil wells. And most people don't carry openly. We generally conceal them under our dusters. (explanation for non Texans https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duster_(clothing) ) Except for my long gun. I keep it in a saddle holster for easy access when needed. This is my own preferred solution, although it does restrict me to the short 20 round magazine rather than my preferred 40 round version. Welcome, dear visitor! david strachan Posted April 26, 2016 Share #45 Posted April 26, 2016 Well I know a bit about Texas, and love Texans. But I do wish you wouldn't post pictures of guns. Some of us find them offensive. Thanks in anticipation...

adamdewilde Posted April 29, 2016 Share #53 Posted April 29, 2016 I've always damaged my M240 screens (had 4 that seen a lot of use). Either with micro scratches or the coating peeling off at the edges (the M240s all do this without screen protectors). With the M-P cameras I never needed screen protectors. M9-P or M240-P. The M240-P cameras (had 5) have not had nor have any issues. I often wear coats with zippers. two coats in particular have sharp zippers (my black coated denim jacket and one of my leather jackets). No problems with either coat. I suspect that the paint would scratch before the screen scratches. I will add.. Screen protectors are cheap and virtually undetectable. Mornnb Posted May 1, 2016 Share #54 Posted May 1, 2016 Well, I have the normal M240. But I have an Apple Watch with a Sapphire screen. There are some scratches on the stainless steel of the watch but there is nothing on the sapphire, this should give some idea of how tough this substance is. ECohen Posted May 2, 2016 Share #55 Posted May 2, 2016 I too went for the Expert Shield on my MP240 . I just put it on..... In preparation ....after cleaning my screen I noticed one small ding on the edge ......I guess I should have used a protector from the get go. Looks fine..... I almost got it perfectly aligned..... works great and now I don't have to think about the zipper on my jacket anymore. On less thing to think about....It is a good day....little things make me so happy
Morry Posted May 3, 2016 Share #56 Posted May 3, 2016 M9-P, MM1, and M246. None of them has had even a minor scratch on LCD in my case. That should not mean that sapphire glass is never scratched but I am convinced that it is very hard to give it a minor scratch by normal usage, unlike in the case of M9 or M240 where it is quite common to see their screen scratched here and there. Sapphire glass on my watch is also looking good as opposed to beaten up bezel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
