I shot some pics the other day with my MP240 in good daylight; a friend's jacket, which is dark charcoal/black, came out very purple....a la the old M8 days. All other colours in the pictures seem pretty accurate. WB was set to auto, ISO 200. Has anyone encountered this? Any post production tips or tips to avoid in the future?

Search the forum. Due to the thin filter needed for optimum image quality there can be some IR leakage albeit far less than the M8. Use a filter in critical shots. In PP selecting the jacket and correcting to black will do the trick.

Not to throw in a curve...but I shot product photography for catalogs........ some fabrics don't always photograph as you would expect......for lots of reasons.

I'm not sure your friends jacket color is an IR issue
