the warrior Posted February 21, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I walk between people moving around me I see things, some things are soulless beings, sometimes they are people.Sometimes I hope to look at me, others do not, then do my photography.Sometimes a picture is lucky, sometimes not. Regards my friends. The following photo was taken at night to open f2, The lens used in all three is the 90mm ASPH Pre-E55 Mandler, it is magic for me. This photo below will be made in the light, I do not like too much the result of light with MMonochrom, magic leaves the Monochrom in the shadows, it is my opinion. The photograph here below is done in shades with good ambient light, my result I much prefer this generally think of the movie and Monochrom and all lenses Mandler. A miller Posted February 21, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2016 Hi Jhon - The third is my keeper of the bunch. Lovely.
Steve Ricoh Posted February 22, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 22, 2016 All good Jhon, but if I had to pick the first and third would get my vote. You mention these being taken at night at f2, I'm amazed at the clarity and excellent focus. What ISO and shutter speed I wonder, and was any flash used ? the warrior Posted February 22, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted February 22, 2016 The photographs are made near a shop light, V1/125 - f2 - ISO 320, never work with more than 320 or 400 ISO. Thanks for your interest to all my friends.
alun Posted February 24, 2016 Share #5 Posted February 24, 2016 #1 is very fine -- strange, lyrical, trance-like. Much enjoyed.
Iduna Posted February 26, 2016 Share #6 Posted February 26, 2016 Jhon, the series is excellent. My favourite is no 3. also no 1 has an interesting focus, no 2 is a fine moment and one can feel a story behind it. No 3 is a fine portrait. Amazing good lowlight performance. CheshireCat Posted February 26, 2016 Share #8 Posted February 26, 2016 The following photo was taken at night to open f2, The lens used in all three is the 90mm ASPH Pre-E55 Mandler, it is magic for me. There were no asphericals in 90mm Mandler lenses. What is the lens model number ?

Frank Sellitto Posted February 27, 2016 Share #12 Posted February 27, 2016 Lovely set. Quite intimate. Why bother choosing. Thank you for these. ~f
Steve Ricoh Posted February 27, 2016 Share #13 Posted February 27, 2016 Jhon, I have to say I'm totally amazed how you achieve focus on 'dynamic' subjects at night by way of shop light illumination alone. I struggle focusing in daylight on anything other than static (ish) objects or people, other than using my 35 Cron stopped down to f4 at least. As a result I find I'm picking up my AF gear knowing there's a fair chance all will be well. Shame really given my outlay...
the warrior Posted February 27, 2016 Author Share #14 Posted February 27, 2016 CheshireCat, is this lens: http://www.kenrockwell.com/leica/90mm-f2-m.htm Steve Ricoh: I only can tell you that is a matter of much practice, encourage and do not leave. CheshireCat Posted February 27, 2016 Share #15 Posted February 27, 2016 CheshireCat, is this lens: http://www.kenrockwell.com/leica/90mm-f2-m.htm Thanks. Love this lens. I just got one used, and like it much better than the APO (especially the price ). That is the non-APO non-ASPH E55 version. Also known simply as "Summicron-M 90" (v3). Notice the "-M" in "Summicron-M". Previous versions (v1 and v2, a different optical design) were just called "Summicron 90". The confusion is caused by Leica's obscure lens naming. It is easy to forget the "-M" from the name, or to add it for previous 90mm lenses. Therefore the version (v3) makes it easy to know which lens is it. the warrior Posted February 27, 2016 Author Share #16 Posted February 27, 2016 thanks, I tested the APO and I do not like, for me it is too hard and short light abruptly, that and all ASPH except Noctilux f0,95, but I do not have it, it's too big and heavy, but it is wonderful, I have made great pictures with. This 90mm is wonderful and I find it very easy to use, but I like the Summilux 75 V-II, so I had and I sold it, I was silly, now I'm looking for another. vdb Posted February 27, 2016 Share #17 Posted February 27, 2016 Nice. To me it's about the moment first, composition second. The first is the best moment. Would've been better if the foreground guy was looking at her...maybe.
