Olivier S. Posted February 4, 2016 Share #1  Posted February 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello,  Could you please help me identify this lens? The wiki on this site indicates a summicron v1:  2307451 2307750 Summicron 3.5 cm 1:2 (M-black.ELW) 1968 300  But, the shape of the lens and an expert's advice make me think that this lens bears the new design (id est version II) which could have started at number 2307451. In that case, the wiki would be erroneous.  I am totally unable to say wether this lens has 8 elements or 6 elements.  Thank you.  Olivier   Welcome, dear visitor! a.noctilux Posted February 4, 2016 Share #2  Posted February 4, 2016 Hello,  I have the same as this one n° 2329xxx (and one 8 elements also). The "aperture lever" is unique to this version. This is definitely 6 elements version II.  Regards,  Arnaud
iaeaix Posted February 4, 2016 Share #3 Â Posted February 4, 2016 It is vii 6 elements. Unless they put 8 element glass into the 6 element barrel, which is unlikely.
Olivier S. Olivier S. Posted February 9, 2016 Author Share #7 Â Posted February 9, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Good! Â Do you think it is advisable to match this summicron 35mm v2 with a summicron 50mm II ("11817" 6 elements)? Or otherwise, with what kind of 50mm? Thank you. TomB_tx Posted February 9, 2016 Share #8 Â Posted February 9, 2016 I used the 6 element 35 & 50 Summicrons from 1969 to 2009, and find them very compatible.
