AlanJW Posted January 31, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 31, 2016 Fixing the flash would be nice, but flash for me is an occasional thing. The everyday issue for me is the file numbering/folders naming mess.
LocalHero1953 Posted February 1, 2016 Share #6 Posted February 1, 2016 File numbering and folders is a non-issue. Fixing the flash would be great but it's not an everyday thing. Now lack of direct access to exposure compensation is the daily PITA. It's a pity we're not all the same......

They're all important to me, although the first is just annoying and not stopping me get the images I want. I do have the EV comp set to a long press button but it seems such a shame to waste a perfectly good dial. the Flash issues actually stops me using the camera. talt03 Posted February 19, 2016 Share #11 Posted February 19, 2016 Leica should come up with v1.3 sooner than later to fix a number of issues. They may introduce new features later.

Ah, I can see from your avatar that you're wearing the wrong boots, which might explain why it's slow for you. (Joke.) Pete.

mbc 1944 Posted February 22, 2016 Share #16 Posted February 22, 2016 When I complained to my Leica regional rep about the lack of direct exposure compensation (I assumed the right side wheel was for that purpose, but it might as well be the circular wheel on top, I've discovered no other use for it than mode changes) he encouraged me to complain to Leica about it because only then does the squeaky wheel get the juice at father Leica AG. As in the past, early adopters constitute Leica's quality control function. Michael

wlaidlaw Posted February 22, 2016 Share #18 Posted February 22, 2016 I am hoping (probably in vain) for an FW update before I leave for Myanmar on the 2nd March. Otherwise, I may well not take the separate SF58 flash with me and just lean on the tiny built in on my C112 for inside shots or ambient light with a Nocti on my SL. I would also like not to have to take DNG and JPEG to have zoomable thumbnails. It is a waste of card space and also slows my workflow down a little, especially when I forget to delete the JPEG's prior to importing to C1. How many hours a week do the FW gnomes work? Not many IMHO - probably all off on ski hols or on the beaches at Phuket. They are certainly not working on the M240 FW, where there are outstanding agreed updates to release. The last update, which was pretty feeble, was 11th of June last year, when apparently they "forgot" to include the agreed updates for the MF grip. AlanJW Posted February 29, 2016 Share #20 Posted February 29, 2016 Looking forward to the 1.3 coming soon I too am looking forward to FW revision 1.3, but "soon" is a term of many definitions. For Leica, firmware revisions come when Leica thinks they are ready, and not any sooner.
