Here's one from last weekend. 21mm Summilux-M, f/8 or so. Glacier point, Yosemite National Park, dawn view of Half Dome and Nevada falls.

Reading this image thread helped me decide what to get.

Who else loves their 21mm f/1.4 Asph?

Shane

I've got the the CV Ultron 21/1.8 asph. and I think it to be an outstanding lens. Nothing to envy to the Summilux that costs four or five times the price. I like the 21, but is sometimes too wide to me. I quite prefer the 28 as a wide lens.

Nothing exotic, but here's one with the Voigtlander 15mm v3

And, here's one with the Voigtlander 21mm 1.8 (cropped and straightened in post processing)

I find the 15mm to be have better IQ, but with more distortion and the limitation of aperture of 4.5 vs. 1.8

M10, 21/1.4

This is a beautiful portrait TGP.

I've always thought that the 1.4/21 Summilux has somewhat more complex rendering, a mix of old and new a bit like the 28 Summicron. It is well demonstrated here.

Thank you Mark

Indeed, the 21Lux is one of the last lenses in the current lineup that does have the older gentler rendering and pairs very well with the 35/1.4preFLE and the 75Lux

I was driving through some countries in Eastern Europe in the past month and i was surprised at how often I reached for the 21Lux. It was glued to one body almost all the time and served very well for landscapes, portraits as well as indoors
