The images above are my first samples from the 90-280, so I have plenty still to learn about the lens.

Here is another, which using the SL's AFc ability: this was taken at f4 and 1/320s. My grandson was moving quite quickly towards me: it hasn't quite nailed it to tack sharp, but I'm still quite impressed.

I have a weekend of grandchildren coming up, so plenty of opportunity to test the SL's tracking and face recognition AF.

Here's an eye test -- View from Lawrence Hall of Science, west across to San Francisco and the Bay bridges.  Typical day, at 7:55 am, according to the clock on the Berkeley campanile:

6-shot pano with the APO SC 50 M.  I don't think flickr will let you see the full resolution, so here is a link to a DropBox copy: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hk5q7byqv6kgf6r/S1000253%201%20Panorama.jpg?dl=0

This is more realistic. Your answer to our "tongue in cheek" comments is the right one.

I appreciate the effort and results, my compliments.

Very nice cars by the way.

Godfrey,

do you eat them ? Or are they just for decoration ? Or what else can they be used for ?

Stephan

They're mad, mutant lemons from a friend of mine's trees. They slice up and are used just like any other lemon however.  :)
