This is just one person's opinion, but IMHO SL primes are the reason to get the SL2. Superb AF that is spot on every time and nice colors at least to my eyes. These are with SL 90.

Much as I liked the vario 24-90, I sold it after getting the SL primes. This is not to say the 24-90 is bad - it is of course excellent, but I don't buy the "prime like performance" claim, esp compared to SL primes. Compared to other brands, yes. In any case, it is not a either / or, but for me it was more of a financial "discipline" :)

I may not agree with you on the 24-90, but these photos are excellent and they make a strong case for the primes.  Any favorites among the primes?

Incidentally, nice photographs on your web site.

Thank you Vikas. I had the SL 50 / 75 / 90. Sold 50 and 75. SL 90 is my favorite. But in this case it is more of a matter of the right FL for one's own use than one lens being better than the other. SL 50 is perhaps the Goldilocks lens, but I also have the Q2 and feel it renders anything from 28-50 redundant.

Yes I’m tempted by the 90 as well but my 90 Summicron M does so well for most things - except quick focusing - that I haven’t has a compelling reason yet.

If you already have the APO Summicron M, then agree, hard to see a reason to get the SL 90.
