We go there every October to eat lobster!!  Stonington is a wonderful place to stay and that time of year there is nobody there.

I couldn't get to Boston this past summer, but I love that part of Maine.  Even in midsummer, in previous years, I would load up a small plane with some friends, fly to the Bar Harbor airport, walk to one of the lobster pounds at the edge of the field, enjoy lobsters and steamers, and fly back without any worry about traffic.  We've also flown into Stonington, but that is a bit more difficult since the field seems to be unattended.  I would have to circle over the  main road through town to announce our arrival, then go and land and be met by friends.

Here's fall in Jerusalem.  We have some color

and a special sort of overgrown crocus that likes to bloom in the late fall:, called Helmonit:

Magical seafood and I’m sure you won’t be eaten by the fly’s then either if you feel a little adventurous you should try canoeing around the islands

SL with 280mm f/2.8 APO-Telyt-R + APO-Extender-R 2X @ f/8 . . .plenty sharp, but unacceptably devoid of contrast detail, dunno what Leica did to this iteration . . . 😛

The website's compression doesn't help, either--897kb shrunk to 234kb . . . this is probably my last image post until that gets fixed . . .

Scaly-Breasted Munia, cropped at about 50% . . .

I'm having problems uploading my normal sized photos.  Has something changed in the size we are allowed to post??

The photo I am trying to upload is 803KB and every time I try to upload it, I get a warning note:  You are only allowed to upload 1,003.52kb.

The last few photos I've posted, I've had to greatly reduce the size.
