Leica SL with 16-35 / Polarizer ... and LR Upright

Beautiful.

I often have a dilemma with using upright, though I frequently do.  As you know, straightening is actually distorting the real perspective to our perceived vision on a 2-D print.  At times a straightened version looks wrong and to my eye this is such a case.  At first glance, specially when not looking at the tower at the right it seemed just right.  Then looking mainly at the tower it looked distorted.

In my case I think there's no best compromise - it seems to be a matter of taste or mood.

Thanks Vikas,

I think you are right, it is more a matter of taste to straighten the picture and to give an Impression of the Location ( in this Location (Braunschweig- Germany ) you see parts of the "Burg Dankwarterode" and the Lion of Henry the Lion, also the cathedral).

But as this pic is taken at 16mm i can not trick fundamental physical laws.

Ah, the Burgplatz in Braunschweig. An important piece of European history on many levels and the former home of Rollei and Voigtländer.

Last week I finally traded in my M9 at the Mayfair store (many thanks to Lucan & team) and bought a new Q and an SL + 24 - 90mm.  I did not have time to go out with either this weekend but played a little with both in the garden.  Here is one of my very first shots from the SL.
