Novoflex EOS/SL Adapter and Canon 4/16-35 mm at 31 mm.

Really like this combination, especially when I consider the huge price difference to the Leica counterpart.

yup,

the "most beautiful village church of the world" ;-)

I wasn't quite sure as it's thirty years since I was there and I know the interior rather better. When I lived in SW Germany I got to know many of the Rococo churches of the area, including the astonishing Die Wies and Ottobeuren, but Steinhausen was always my favourite, despite its relatively modest size. It's amazing to find such a masterpiece in a small village miles from anywhere and relatively little-known and unvisited. On several occasions I had the place to myself.

It really is an amazing building for a small village like this, the founders obviously knew what people needed most at the time! ;-)

Who cares about food and clothing anyway....

Building beauty aside it is bold thing to state founders knew what people wanted or needed at the time.  Following bloody religious wars that preceded Baroque i am sure there were more pressing priorities than paying church taxes.  As a person with RC background i can appreciate lovely church but object to being forced into paying for it.

Mich, how would you compare the canon to the leica? I’m thinking of canceling my order for the leica 16-35 and using my canon so I can get the 75 SL cron instead. Thoughts?

I haven't tried the Leica 16-35, so I can't compare them, sorry!

I switched to digital Leica because of the highly innovative Monochrom, the SL is just a supplement for my M lenses (there was no M10 at that time and the sensors of M9 or M240 weren't exactly state of the art).

SL plus SL lenses don't have any real size advantage compared to my Canon 5dmk3/5dsr plus Canon lenses, so no reason to switch.

But one aspect might be important for your decision, image stabilization doesn't work with SL plus Canon lenses. ;)
