Bee at work.  This was hand held with the 24-90.  I didn't have my R 100 macro with me.  I am amazed at the detail that this system can capture!  I have the Sony A7rII that has nearly twice as much sensor capacity but the pictures are not noticeably better than this.  Next pic is a major blow-up of the bee.  You can see the individual hairs on its fur.

Good & dramatic image, but I think a small space / seperation between the lightpole and the plane would be more effective in showing that it's actually a very dynamic scene with the plane on its final approach, because as it is now it almost appears that the aircraft is mounted atop a pedestal......... like a stationary display at an aviation museum.
