You state you're happy with the 50 Cron & the 35 Summarit - I too consider a 50 Cron a wonderful & perfectly satisfactory lens (which I will never part with ), but I respectfully submit you'd be happier with a 35 Asph, Cron. The long and short of it is.........it's simply a better lens than the Summarit.

 

 

 

I happen to own the 35 Summicron ASPH, but there are various experienced members on the forum who would argue with your comparison to the 35 Summarit.  Mr. Puts, too, rated the 35 M Summarit over the Summicron ASPH in various respects, including better flare control.  The Summarits get a bad rap, it seems, because of lower price, lack of Leica marketing, and some debatable build issues....but it is superb optically by most all accounts, and the 35 in particular seems the best rated M Summarit (on an M, anyway).

 

Both fine lenses in the right hands.
