Vincent G Posted November 10, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted November 10, 2015 Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. 20141201-M2-21SA-400TX-D76-33 by Days of My Ordinary Life (Vincent), on Flickr Motorcycles, cars and buses rule the road at Hanoi. Don't expect them to stop for you to cross the road. To cross the road just walk at a steady pace while keeping an eye for the oncoming traffic. The motorcycles and cars will avoid you. Or you can just close your eyes and walk across! Leica M2 Leitz Super-Angulon-M 21mm f/3.4 Kodak Tri-X

I didn't see smart phones in their hands. As I only speak very little Vietnamese, I simply gestured to them whether I could take a picture of them and they obliged. I didn't have the time to meter the scene and just shot at whatever settings I already have on the camera. Very thin negative but still managed to print. lmans Posted November 11, 2015 Share #9 Posted November 11, 2015 The drinking tea shot is interesting. I find sometimes a 'bad shot' in terms of not having the right settings, actually turns our distinctive enough to make it appealing. Sure, noise and texture, but uniqueness too... Vincent G Posted November 12, 2015 Author Share #13 Posted November 12, 2015 Thanks for your visit and comments! Hello cafecacao! Vietnam is a nice country! I would love to go back again. Here's some more shots to share: 20141201-M2-21SA-400TX-D76-30 by Days of My Ordinary Life (Vincent), on Flickr I stood here for some time trying to compose this shot properly. It was long enough for the 3 curious men to look up and figure out what was I trying to photograph. I misjudged the exposure here. cafecacao Posted November 13, 2015 Share #16 Posted November 13, 2015 tks Vincent, next time, should be careful, you can meet the thief anywhere, anytime so i am very afraid to go street photography.
EoinC Posted November 15, 2015 Share #17 Posted November 15, 2015 Very nice shots, Vincent. The Tri-X ones particularly (perhaps coincidentally, or perhaps because I like the World Tri-X seems to depict through it's magic grain). I agree with Imans - An exposure is just an interpretation. Lighter or darker produce different interpretations.
