Even supposing the sensor quality (DR, ISO, colours etc), and EVF quality/performance are on a par with or, more likely, better than the SL? The larger a hole, the smaller the object it is in (think of a doughnut). A smaller M was right up there with a circular sensor on most people's wish list. High ISO capability was my request as well but in last two years of ownership I noticed that ISO3200 is more than enough with f/2 or faster lenses in all light conditions. The noise at ISO3200 is very much acceptable with little PP and not visible at all in print. Only loss is DR and it is only noticeable when you try to lift shadows. Now a days I like my blacks therefore it is not an issue for me. I am now happy with current sensor's high ISO capability. And yes, I like the colors, even at high ISO. Suppose we were all wrong and it would be possible to make a MP shape one Leica M digital? In science ideas are sometimes disgarded after say, 10 years.
