MarkP Posted October 25, 2015 Author Share #92 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) Les, nice to see those film photos in 'all their glory'. The rapid regrowth of the ferns after the bushfire is amazing. Dee, the canola fields are beautiful, especially under those grey skies. David, very Australiana in both subject and colouring. Had to look up Murga as I'd never heard of it before. I see it is west of Orange. Edited October 25, 2015 by MarkP

david strachan Posted October 25, 2015 Share #95 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) "High Country Canola Crop." by Platypus.. You are right Dee. It just does not look right in that high country...a blight, as you called it. Should be left to low impact grazing and fine wool. Still a very good image. cheers Dave S Edited October 25, 2015 by david strachan
david strachan Posted October 25, 2015 Share #96 Posted October 25, 2015 Mark, isn't Lord Howe Island a gem. We loved it there, particularly the walking and scenery. Very low key...so low in fact could not even buy a quarter decent bottle of whisky! The swimming is amazing with huge fish, corals and just lovely deserted beaches. The week after we left a man was taken by a shark, at a beach we loved to swim... (poor chap) An undiscovered paradise...don't know why more Aussies don't go there?? cheers Dave S

david strachan Posted October 26, 2015 Share #98 Posted October 26, 2015 Hahaha, works so well in B&W. Very very nice Dee. Must be just past Christmas...I see the remnant reindeer antlers! Always good to see a bit of humour in the Forum. Bush letter-boxes are a study in themselves. Anymore gates etc...they still pass as landscapes? Gee, those MM's do a nice job...in the right hands of course. All the best Dave S

david strachan Posted October 26, 2015 Share #100 Posted October 26, 2015 That's nice Mark. Like the way the light leads the eye into the picture. Still kept nice shadow detail. Little sensor spot...but that's difficult with film...a little bird fleeing the storm perhaps. Dramatic, cheers Dave S
