Blue Sky Pool. An abstract landscape.

Reflections in a pool of water of at the bottom of an eroded creek. Southern Monaro, NSW.

M262/75 Lux

Wow Dee that is complex with so much to look at while you work out what is going on there.

Mark, some nice stuff from Noosa.  The fisherman is my fav with the body movements.  The light break through the middle looks a bit unusual, but I realise it is natural.

Stuart, we lived nearby and used to enjoy taking the children on the old Zig Zag and a picnic at the end.

All best to you both, Dave S

In the Blue Mountains - Zig-Zag Railroad

Great photos and memories! We took the kids a few times when they were young.

I think this very unusual railway line, albeit only used for tourists for many years, has been closed since the Blue Mountains fires in 2013 and is yet to reopen..

Thanks David.

Yes, that very dense dark cloud was blocking the sunlight virtually in a straight line - very unusual.

Very nice. Subtle colours.

I find it very difficult photographing some Australian bush scenes close up because there is so fine detail (dare i say clutter) with small leaves, twigs, and debris.

How are you liking the M262 c/w the M9 (if you still have it)?

Mark, thanks! I agree; Blue Sky Pool is very cluttered....and not to everyone's taste I'm sure, however I thought I'd take the risk and post it as "something different"....and trust no one chokes on it!

Yes, I still have the M9 and intend to retain it, I'd love to have a body for each of my lenses, that won't ever happen of course, but the M9 is now wearing the 28 Elmarit, and the M262 has the 75 Lux.

Since you ask, I am absolutely besotted with the M262...can't think of enough superlatives!! It is the best Leica camera I have ever had the pleasure of using....and so on...I'm such a bore about it!

Regarding M9/M262 comparisons, I think the M262 captures more detail than the M9. Perhaps that's down to the 24mp sensor? I don't really know, not being of a technical bent.

Really do like your new Noosa images! Particularly the 'construction/clutter on the beach' shot, that's one I wish I'd taken! You are getting some interesting light situations up there.

Welcome jaques, what super pictures.  A great entrée. Particularly like the Victor Harbor and the camels...you'll note the spelling of Harbor...the locals insist it's spelled that way...

Another lovely dramatic sky.

Really like this David. I can feel and smell that wet road!

Thank you so much!

I'm still searching, but...this is partly what I'm hoping to achieve.  To feel one is walking on the warm steamy bitumen.

cheers  Dave S

PS your Berlin image #89 is visceral and beautiful, I feel the place
