Jeff Ummm...lol, you are the one making it about the gear, I just linked his article because many of the photos were likely made with the FLE and are unique in a good way as to what one normally sees around the discussion of Leica gear. All I really care about are great photographs, no matter who makes them. He has 60 photos posted, I am guessing something in the area of 5 of them are possibly not with a 35mm lens. jaques Posted September 2, 2015 Share #18 Posted September 2, 2015 I have shot a few weddings with my M9 and M240- not professionally but just as guest. I think the Leica cameras work well just as you describe- moving around freely, being largely invisible, little intimidation from the camera equiptment- just snapping up little scenes that appear before they dissaper. I think this style of wedding photgraphy can also work well alongside the more rigid controlled style. Let the DSLR 'pro' get everyone into a group photo and take the couple down to a park for some controlled posed shots with a soft-box. Meanwhile the leica person can wonder about and document the little things- the food, the drunks, whatever- like a street photographer. With everyone dressed to the nines, a little drunk and emotional- and with fine food, interesting picturesque locations- there is always some gold at any wedding. And indeed, I'm almost convinced, that shots like that couldn't be done with something else! Owning M240, summilux 50/1.4 ASPH and elmarit 28 for 2 months by now, I'm impressed by outcomes everyday.
