Had my first, short shooting with the S3 today ;). All images with the 100mm-S, at ISO 100-1600. Quite a (positive) difference compared to S006! Little special image-wise, but a few snaps with some colours in the rain...

Some additional quickies; I am very pleased with the files; by far the most pleasant high-light rendering I have seen based on experience with various Leica and Nikon FF bodies. Plus an incredible sharpness (possibly not seen on these jpgs). Very responsive, and impressively damped mirror and shutter.

A sweaty one first, at least for me: This bike happen to be my beloved bike that I got at an age of 10 or thereabout... S3 + 30-90S at ISO100.

Another type of city scene... S3 + 45S at ISO400 (I find the greens pleasant - but this obviously depends on the eyes that see...).

Helged,   I agree with your S3 assessment.  I find the S3 renders color better, especially red and other improvements to be most welcome like the long exposure capability.  Thanks for sharing your photographs.  r/ Mark

Fantastic sharpness (despite the S100 wide open has more character than most/all of the S-lenses)... (Male) House sparrow (Passer domesticus). S3+S100mm @f2, ISO100. Click to see larger image.
