lleo Posted April 30, 2015 Author Share #21 Posted April 30, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you Luigi. Actually I don't have any risk to have to choose a lens for the digital, since I usually use the one I have as avatar. 15 is a pretty wide size, so it's better to get in between right now since my shortest is the Summicron 5cm. And it's even better the news a new CV will be on the market soon, so the old ones will decrease their prices. lleo Posted May 7, 2015 Author Share #22 Posted May 7, 2015 Dear all, looking for the lens I've got a curiosity about the Summaron E39. I noticed some have a not-continous ring on the rear, in other the ring is continous. Here are some examples: They're all screw mounts, not M39. Is that normal or is it possible that some M39 come without the bayonet? Thank you.
lleo Posted May 8, 2015 Author Share #23 Posted May 8, 2015 After having checked awhile, I answer myself. The first two are M39 lens without the bayonet, it's probably been taken out. The last on the bottom it's a native screw mount version.
probert Posted May 17, 2015 Share #24 Posted May 17, 2015 The most important thing is that when you get a lens, it doesn't look like this:

I don't think so... the bayonet mount Summarons 3,5 have the distance scale that is tapered, not straight vertical like the screw mount version... btw, I have a Summaron screw mount that has the "non continuous" ring ... I think is a manufacturing variant occured during production life...

lleo Posted May 19, 2015 Author Share #28 Posted May 19, 2015 That's not a fungus, it's a jungle. You're right, Luigi. Who knows why the different lenses have different rings on the back. Maybe because at Leitz they had different batches of rings they used no matter what.
