AbbeyFoto Posted March 4, 2015 Share #41 Posted March 4, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Steady as she goes with the M series but a full frame T-like kit with Leica lenses makes sense to me.

Michael Gamble Posted March 4, 2015 Share #42 Posted March 4, 2015 [Had Quality Control been FULLY Implemented the disastrous LEICA D-LUX would never have left the drawing board.::mad:QUOTE=johnbanting;2896302]Quality Control, Quality Control, Quality Control. Bart Hamming Posted March 4, 2015 Share #44 Posted March 4, 2015 I wish you good luck, succes and a lot of fun (German CEO's are not good in making, having and enjoying fun). Guide the company by connecting roles (promoters, performers, sponsors), in order to set people free to take their proper responsibilities (instead of leading people by giving people orders through hierarchy). (And please, let [name removed] send my M9 back since 9 weeks of servicetime is a lot ...)
Manoleica Posted March 4, 2015 Share #45 Posted March 4, 2015 One man against the Leica Board, he might just get the Leica Red changed to a different hue.. A giant task ahead of him.. Come back in 5years and lets see!
Learner Posted March 4, 2015 Share #46 Posted March 4, 2015 Forget about uber uber expensive special editions, but concentrate on the base / core products … Don't rush to market … Get them right.

leicaphilia Posted March 4, 2015 Share #48 Posted March 4, 2015 Stop the gimmicks and the pandering to the uber-riche (who really couldn't care less about your heritage) and return your focus to photographers who want simplicity and functional designs. See Fuji for tips on how to do it in the digital age.
BenMathes Posted March 4, 2015 Share #49 Posted March 4, 2015 God bless you- strengthen the M series with a better sensor, perhaps M6 size, look after your family home and at Leica!
dunhoy Posted March 4, 2015 Share #50 Posted March 4, 2015 Revise your pricing structure and stop gouging those of us lucky enough to afford to buy and use Leica: in my mind there is no doubt that picking the pockets of posers is a core to your being rather than giving photographers what they really need at sensible prices. virgilius Posted March 4, 2015 Share #51 Posted March 4, 2015 Hail to the new Chief. My recommendation is that Leica comes with two new main M's: One with all the latest bells and whistles (e.g. wifi, AF?) and one which is a purist mp-style heavy duty pro camera (not the same camera with only MP on it, but rather like a M60). The purist M could be smaller overall and perhaps be equipped with a mechanical shutter winder lever and a small but good LCD, just to quickly check the exposure. No video. I think that would appeal to many and make Leica stand out between all the high tech Sony's A7's, Fuji's etc. The same sensors can be used but Leica could also opt for an improved CCD for the purist model, but one CMOS sensor would probably more realistic. But this sensor to outperform all others!
Palermog Posted March 4, 2015 Share #52 Posted March 4, 2015 Please permit the transfer of warranty to a new owner. That is the only way some can afford buying a Leica....slightly used! Best regards and good luck ginop
AtelierM Posted March 4, 2015 Share #53 Posted March 4, 2015 Produce an M with built in EVF with adjustable diopter and additional lenses [super wide angles and telephotos] that could be used with this camera.
buendia Posted March 4, 2015 Share #54 Posted March 4, 2015 Focus on professional market, not only on luxury market.
autochrome Posted March 4, 2015 Share #55 Posted March 4, 2015 Leica is getting a reputation as a piece of jewelry not as a camera. Make the sensors and electronics cutting edge. Quit taking components out and charging more - taking sand paper to the finish and calling it a special edition. Maybe hiring someone who is a photographer. thanks
ynp Posted March 4, 2015 Share #56 Posted March 4, 2015 Inject some money into Sinar and let them compete with the others in the MF market. Drop prices on your S series cameras. Innovate.

rmaciel Posted March 4, 2015 Share #59 Posted March 4, 2015 I am sorry my poor english skill first. I hope you do not just service rich people in the world. There are many people who like take pictures but they are not rich people, service these people who are really like use Leica. Do not forget the base of Leica is photographers, not rich man. Even a company need profit, but do not forget who give Leica be a legendary company, those photographers, not rich man.
