E.g. I do that a lot in Capture One and it is really easy to do that. May I ask what is your film scanning process setup? A dedicated film scanner, flatbed scanner or "DSLR" scan setup? Hi raptor, i used my M10r to scan lately, but i have my dedicated film scanner plustek and a v600 epson for medium format films i cant do colour correction, i mean how to start with 1

I used to use SilverFast with it. Nowadays I switched to VueScan, because it is faster. After that I have a DNG file that I post-process in Capture One Pro. Fun fact: The photos you post with all those colours and tones, many photographers do that on purpose and call it either colour grading or they have presets to achieve those styles. 😁 Edited March 28, 2022 by R4p70r

Love the results very much and to some extend i feel even better than dslr scanning but only if they make pakon like ability, im sold! The reflects got the motor and a better resolution but i heard varying reviews where bulk scan dont always work and scan quality quickly degrade over time i used vuescan too now, i changed my laptop and couldnt bother to reactivate the license silverfast, thanks for the funfacts, sometimes just look pleasing but other time bit exaggerated color cast! Exactly and thank you for pointing that out, im not very good at colour, i dont blame my partial colour blind but i knew something seems odd and since i have plenty rolls to scan at once and i dont usually do much post process other than converting it straight away using the NLP may i know how do you correct it? Definitely it has a more pleasing skins and yes my shoot my portra to name the most, have been suffering with cyan cast as was told Hi Jacontil, I'm sorry to hear of your partial colour blindness. It is difficult enough to recognize colour shifts without it, so I admire that you've gotten as close as you have. As for processing, I use photoshop and go into image -> adjustments -> selective color and select either neutral or white, sliding the cyan tab to -7, which seems to be the magic number for a lot of pictures. Sometimes I find I have to slightly adjust some other colors, especially if I've altered the neutral colors. Any colour management program where you can add or decrease cyan, magenta, yellow, white and neutral will be able to do it. If you can have a reference iphone picture, or better still the actual model, when you're doing this it should make it easier. There is nothing at all wrong with your home processing, by the way, it is perfect. I always look forward to seeing your work, you have a wonderful ability to photograph your models looking completely at ease.

eawriter Posted April 1, 2022 Share #3048 Posted April 1, 2022 This woman was a member of the three-person crew on the ferry from San Francisco to Treasure Island. Very friendly. I took her picture when we docked at Treasure Island, with San Francisco and the Bay Bridge in the background. She was smiling in the first shot I took of her, but then I asked her not to smile—my standard approach. M10M, 50mm Summilux at f/4, orange filter. Welcome, dear visitor!
