Considering a 75 Summilux. Now what can I trade or sell to raise some funds? 35 Summicron v4, 73/1.9 Hektor, children, granny?

Not sure if I could bring myself to part with the Summicron or the Hektor though.:D

Pete.

If you trade your 35 IV for the lux75, you loose one of a twin, they belong together!

I'm on hold now. Considered a beaueautiful M4-P, limited edition 1913-1983, but I don't believe myself going back to film yet. And if I did, why not 6*6 then, or a Linhof.

Have tried a M240 two times now and it is a definite NO, yellow cast not solved, slow start-up, etc. The reason I reconsidered was the M-P, but the M240 is not worth a P version for me.

I'm so happy with my equipment now, I'm complete. Maybe a more mint version for my 35 IV if I bump against it, but that's it.

You could buy Pete's. That way he'll be happier about selling it and 'keeping it in the family', and he'll get the 75 Lux he wants :)

:D buying and selling within the family can give problems too :);)

At least I won't trade my lux75

I've already started a dedicated fund for an updated MM.

I'm still finding my Summilux 75 extremely hard to focus accurately when wide open even after CLA and coding in Wetzlar. I'll not give up on it yet, but if I don't grow to love the lens I might go against my principles (only part with Leica glass to replace it with other Leica glass) and sell it to part fund an updated MM should one appear out of the ether.

Had almost convinced myself to sort out the cash for a used M E or M9, but since the snow started lying on the sensors...

It will probably be a Nikon D750

You must like sensor flare...

Not half as much as I 'like' a much depleted bank account and three month trips to Wetzlar every so often to replace faulty sensors...

Actually more likely to be an A7, and keep the D7000

Well, a depleted bank account is my natural state, with or without Leica ;)

And I confess I have yet to experience a three-month trip to Wetzlar on any of the digital Ms I hve bought over the years. Once, when I had a motherboard problem on one, it took two, but Leica sent me a brand-new loaner...
