How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

You know, what I like about this type of image is being able to sit back and look and wonder how they ever built these great buildings in years gone bye without JCB's or tower cranes. This image , too, gives a lovely warm feeling of blue sky and warm sunshine - just what is needed during these cold wet and windy days.

Of course, it goes without saying that the little "C" has captured every detail with unquestioning sharp precision.

Leica C experiment using kitchen mini-studio setup with an interestingly shaped piece of wood discovered on the summit of a Welsh border hill - and where there was not a tree in sight - so no idea of the wood's origin.  RAW Images converted to B&W via PS Elements. Exposure at f5 with slowish shutter speeds; ISO 100.

No tripod used; camera was handheld but forearms supported on the back of a chair

Glad to see the thread is being kept alive!   :)  Must confess the arrival of a Q earlier this year has tended to mean the little C has been left in the draw - shame on me.

Anyway, on a recent trip to Spain there were times when it reasserted itself - such as this one in the western end of the English Channel on a lovely calm day (albeit somewhat gloomy).  More to follow...
