I love rich colours, and the Swiss excel with their house decorations.

I've looked long and hard at this, Keith, and really am not sure about it.  Maybe colour would have helped.

Your wish is my command...   ;)

That's better! What a transformation from what appeared to the on-looker as an overcast stormy day to a bright sunny warm day with blue sky and clear waters.

The whole thing looks very inviting, though not the sort of sea enticing a dip. I know which image I would put in the holiday brochure!

Richard

PS.  By the way, Warmest Seasons Greetings to all "C" owners, and very grateful thanks for sharing your images, every one demonstrating what an exceptional little gem the "C" is. By the way, if you want to stretch your camera's close-up capabilities later next year, just put 5/6 November in your diary because I am organising a major Orchid Exhibition and Congress in Norwich for the British Orchid Council (see www.british-orchid-council.info). If you do  venture over there, do make yourself known to me - I am the Congress Manager.

Whereabouts is this in Switzerland?

Looks vaguely familiar...

It is in the Salzkammergut region not far from St Gilgen in Austria (sorry not Swiss, my error). Our tour stopped there for afternoon tea. The farming family have lived on that site for over 200 years and the current generation serve afternoon teas to travelling groups. We were on our way to the Grossglockner Pass.

HNY to all C aficionados   :)

A typical result from this little 'point & shoot' gem - a view of the National Trust's Kingston Lacy property.

It looks to me that our Lords and Masters at the centre had browsed this thread and now acknowledge the excellence of the little C enough for a formal pinning. Rather like some people had their MBEs upgraded to OBEs in the New Year Honours, perhaps if we keep showing such prime images from the little C we might one day get our pin replaced by a dedicated slot in the main menu!

Keith's latest proves it yet again.

Nice one, Keith.

I had my little C with me when we went down the Berchtesgaden Salt Mine in Austria.

No, this is not a moonscape, it is an underground cavern where the foreground is a lake mirroring the ceiling, and at the back is undisturbed salt rock.

Of no artistic merit whatsoever - I just happen to like the texture of the petals that the C has captured.

Some exotic water lilies at Royal Botanical Gardens Kew - just point and shoot as usual.

I can remember standing in in the same place - back in film days ;)  Have not managed to visit Kew for quite a few years.

Looking forward to Spring, the shot below is from last Spring - National Trust cottages at Selworthy in Somerset.
