Advertisement Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Hi samwells, Take a look here St Paul's from South Bank, London. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted October 31, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 31, 2014 I like this. It is an unusual view of St Paul's. I admit that I was expecting to see the now normal view from Tate Modern. The grain really brings something good to this shot. I'd correct the verticals, which are just slightly off to the right, if it were mine.

Andy - thanks for the comment - yes, must check those verticals again before I print; grain courtesy of Rodinal, of course! Stu - thanks for looking… cheers: Sam

jrp Posted April 18, 2015 Share #8 Posted April 18, 2015 Interesting take, although, to be tough, not sure what the grain brings to the photo and having it in b&w eliminates the colour contrast between the blue sky, neutral buildings and signature red temporary theatre. topoxforddoc Posted April 21, 2015 Share #9 Posted April 21, 2015 Sam, Verticals aside, I like this a lot. The composition is great as is the juxtaposition between the post-modernist architecture at the front and Christopher Wren's great Cathedral just peeping through in the background. Gibbo Posted April 22, 2015 Share #10 Posted April 22, 2015 Not much not to like here. The composition, tones and grain really do make it a good photograph. I like it a lot!
