robert_parker Posted October 10, 2014 Share #12 Posted October 10, 2014 Oh my God, thanks for sharing but also for keeping it in color. this POV is as outstanding as the picture and the subject. Can't be done better than that. I couldn't agree more - there would be a question in my mind as to whether I would crop the image a little higher, maybe just at or around the hands, as I think for me this image is really about the face and it's emergence from the background. Nevertheless, it is impressive.
stuny Posted October 10, 2014 Author Share #13 Posted October 10, 2014 Marc, Hank, Sharookh & John - Thank you. Robert - Thank you, and I agree. Shawn - Thank you. Sicne Barbara gave me my V-Lux 4 in December 2012 I've used it almost exclusively, letting all my other cameras sit idle. This was a V Lux shot. Brenton C Posted October 10, 2014 Share #14 Posted October 10, 2014 That's a beautiful shot, Stu' and if you have any M lenses with which to unburden your camera bag, I'll hapily pay postage! ;-)

robert_parker Posted October 10, 2014 Share #16 Posted October 10, 2014 Since Barbara gave me my V-Lux 4 in December 2012 I've used it almost exclusively, letting all my other cameras sit idle. This was a V Lux shot. It's interesting that you say that - I've just seen the new V-Lux (Typ 114) that was announced at Photokina this year, whilst on a visit to London and was most impressed. ShawnK Posted October 10, 2014 Share #17 Posted October 10, 2014 Yesterday I played w/V-Lux (Type 114) @ my local dealer in US. It has that S-series look, extremely light, great ergonomics, amazing range for that lil camera. Would make a great second body due to it's range, tho' result when viewed on LCD screen, didn't look as great as M-240.

stuny Posted October 11, 2014 Author Share #19 Posted October 11, 2014 Valerie, Antoine, Michael, Robert & Shawn - Thank you Brenton - Shawn & Robert - because of the larger sensor in the new V-Lux the camera is larger than mine and has shorter tele range, necessary to keep its overall size down. However, no doubt the new camera has better low light performance than does mine. Don't put too much concern into the LCD screen image
