Suggestions for a wide angle "character" lens?

As I posted before, I am in the process in the process of paring down/simplifying my lens lineup.

After some shuffling, Im looking to have a balance between Mandler era "character" lenses, and Karbe era "clinical" lenses. I can see and use the advantages of both approaches.

Right now, Im down to:

VC 12mm f5.6

W.A.T.E

35mm Summilux FLE

35mm Summicron v3

Noctilux f1.0 v4

50mm Summilux ASPH

75mm Summilux

90mm Elmarit M

135mm Elmar M

Im thinking about replacing the 35mm Summicron v3 with something wider- although Im hesitant to do so, because its mint in the box with 12504 hood!

Any thought/suggestions on a wide angle that has a classic "Leica" look?

Seems rather clear you can go for a 28... ;)... and personally I have two Elmarits : one is the (rare) 1st type - 9 elements : really oldstyle, rather soft at 2,8... and au pair with the venerable Summaron 5,6 at 8-11... nice collectible but not a lens to use...btw given its particular back elements, does not meter correctly on digital Ms - as Leica itself states; the other is the Canadian 3rd version ("LEITZ LENS MADE IN CANADA" on front ring - s/n at side) and imho is a really appreciable classic 28... from the prices you see around (those are lenses bought for use) you can understand that, in user's term, it is maybe more appreciated than the current asph, which belongs to the "modern.high contrast" breed. I'd reccomend it to anyone who likes to have a classic 28.

I HAD also the 24 asph (sold because was a lens that I intended for M8... and had to finance the 240... :o) : it was great - ultrasharp (on M8), but never used it on M240 : I see that it is still high valued on the used market, but belongs to the "modern" breed.

I have the version 2 Canadian made and designed 28mm Elmarit (code# 11802)- and it is a very interesting lens to use on the digital M cameras. It is good to be able to use the entire OVF with the widest frames... Very happy with it too: solidly made, with a great hood- and pretty sharp even wide open. I can post some sample images if you are interested.
