Hank Taylor Posted August 20, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 20, 2014 Yes, Adam , its amazing how an ad like this is on every beer drinker and non bear drinkers mind when he thinks of the best. By the way you shots are the best, always in the top 1000 I like your picture;) Hank
A miller Posted August 20, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted August 20, 2014 Thanks, Paul, Mark and Hank. This was my friend's beer. He asked for a recommendation from the female bartender and this is what he got
stuny Posted August 20, 2014 Share #6 Posted August 20, 2014 Excellent and very funny. I imagine some insecure people wouldn't drink it in public. So your beer must be Miller's.

A miller Posted August 24, 2014 Author Share #10 Posted August 24, 2014 Many thanks, Sharookh and JT. JT - I'll give the wit to the bar tender who recommended this beer to my friend, who apparently had a pathetically long day at work and was jet lagged to boot. Brenton C Posted August 24, 2014 Share #11 Posted August 24, 2014 This is a great photo, the title takes it to another level, and the story about your friend, to another plateau again. I especially enjoy the angle of the bar you've captured. The way it runs through the picture, conspiring with your chosen aperture for a great sense of depth. And speaking of depth . . . I still can't help wondering about the rest of the story. Was it just the bar maid's sense of humour? Was it the manner of your friend's request? Did he really get just what he deserved from her? Maybe it makes the picture stronger if we never know for sure. You decide.
Tom Barry Posted August 24, 2014 Share #12 Posted August 24, 2014 I love it, and the title's perfect. I was leaving the dentist's office this week after having my teeth cleaned and saw a picture on the wall of "The World's Most Interesting Man" with the following caption: "I don't always floss, but when I do, it's always 20 minutes before a dentist's appointment." A miller Posted August 25, 2014 Author Share #13 Posted August 25, 2014 Many thanks, Brenton and Tom. Brenton - The reason for the bar tender's recommendation is a complete mystery to us. The next time I am at the restaurant I shall ask. Tom - Thanks for sharing the dentist joke. It made my day!!
Brenton C Posted August 25, 2014 Share #14 Posted August 25, 2014 I wondered if he was a bit flirtatious, and, when asking for a recommendation, got both beer and "coded message" in one! Anyway, I'm impressed with creating such a fine photo out of so ordinary a thing as a beer on the bar!
A miller Posted August 25, 2014 Author Share #15 Posted August 25, 2014 Thanks, Brenton. Some say that "you are what you drink." I will be playfully teasing my friend with this line, at will, for quite some time to come
topoxforddoc Posted August 27, 2014 Share #16 Posted August 27, 2014 In my book, that's a "Winner" shot every time.
