James Barton Tunnel

I can see why you approve of the name. The tunnel is actually an underpass below the St. James Barton Roundabout in Bristol. Not somewhere overly safe to walk at night, but the area is slowly undergoing a gentrification process, much to the chagrin of the local residents.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments.

"Barton" is an Anglo-Saxon word for "farmyard", especially a corn farm, so is a relatively common word in A-S areas of England.

Someone about 1200 years ago must have decided that thier farm was worthy of a Saint's patronage :)
