NB23 Posted July 8, 2016 Share #544 Posted July 8, 2016 I'm sorry but I don't see anything special optically from all these examples. Maybe if I was looking for something apecial I'd see it but Indecide to look at the images. Let's not forget that, nowadays, "good photos" are heavily flavorized in adobe lightroom. I understand that the greatest lenses are valid for shooting film, but not for digital. There is enough of flavorizing going on to really give a honest place to pure photography. Jan1985 Posted July 8, 2016 Share #546 Posted July 8, 2016 The real benefit you only See in print. Some days Ago i got the big size prints for an exhibition. There are the real differences visible. Resolution, Details etc. And you must know at the Moment there is no body that can get the whole Potential out of the apo.

I would respectfully disagree with your assessment on the APO 50. From all the images that I've seen, I do see something special of the lens.
lct Posted July 8, 2016 Share #548 Posted July 8, 2016 I'm totally unable to see anything special on others' pics i must say. On my own ones i can but that is all. YMMV.
Peter Kilmister Posted July 8, 2016 Share #549 Posted July 8, 2016 The whole idea that something is better or worse is subjective. The same applies to whether wide open shots are better than f/16. I love good photos. I don't care whether they are taken with a pin hole camera using a pin-prick in an old cereal packet or with a Hasselblad. For me the APO 50 gives a better rendition of just about anything. It is lightweight. compact, and seems to have been designed for the future. In summary, a wonderful lens and really worth the money.
NB23 Posted July 8, 2016 Share #550 Posted July 8, 2016 Realistically speaking If something has to be subjective, "worth the money" is the most subjective. Ever.

freitz Posted July 9, 2016 Share #554 Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) For colors you should try a linear profile What do you mean? Do the colors seem off? Because they look accurate to me. Edited July 9, 2016 by freitz
