To push would be to brighten the image. To 'push' sounds so much more filmy I guess 😁. Thank you

Myvalko Posted April 6, 2019 Share #64 Posted April 6, 2019 indeed push comes from the film era when exposing g a film with a higher sensitivity than the box one i.e. portra 400 exposed as 800 iso. This was useful when lenses were not very fast. In digital world you will translate with increasing the iso value then it means the electric signal on the sensor which create more noise.. And this is one of the Achilles heel from the M9

Três a cinco anos? There are two Leicas; fantastic analogue that thought about longevity, about longevity of all parts of the camera including lenses. Leica digital, think at the moment, globalization of its customers, longevity is tomorrow.

I think that longivity * is always here and now with thousands of users of M9 and Monochrom or M-E . * I admit at a cost of replaced sensor for some

Your posting history shows that you’ve now vented the same on 10 different threads in the last 11 hours, including dredging up this 6 year old thread following a comment from over a year ago. And you only joined the forum less than a week ago. Maybe a record. Congrats. Jeff Edited June 29, 2020 by Jeff S 1 2
