Leica Teaser or ...

... an April 1st joke? I doubt the latter because the cropped picture attached appeared up to two weeks ago. But look closely at the Leica rangefinder camera shown on the WhiteWall advertisement page and you will see what clearly appears to be a left-handed version for left-handed photographers. There are no red faces to be seen elsewhere in the advert. Or could it be a deliberate new product placement? :)

Possibly just someone who got a bit creative in the photoshop department and mirrored the camera?

If so Simon, what a bloomer when the client is such an important player in the photography after-market.

I can't comment.... Never heard of the company and when I visit their website I just get a blank page....

That is strange Simon. They are a huge continental company who even advertise in the LFI (lEICA FOTOGRAFIE INTERNATIONAL)

Well, either it’s a left-handed camera complemented with a left-handed lens – or Photoshop. What’s more likely?

I agree. Though I am surprised that it slipped past the authoriser.

Hello Everybody,

This might also be a flipped negative. Remember film? The negative might have been inadvertantly reversed while someone was positioning a separate image of the camera within the scene.

The Summilux that is on the camera is certainly old enough to remember film.

Best Regards,

Michael

Not only left-handed, but the bayonet mount itself has to be mirrored, if the red dot sits where it does. Secret cooperation with Nikon? :p Or, visitor from the anti-matter universe, ready to explode at first contact with our reality? :o

Seriously, the TIPA poster on the same table has correct text orientation. So, the whole thing must be a montage….
