Been out of contact, in Vietnam, trekking above Sa Pa. Amazing photo ops, particularly people in Hanoi. Now anxious to get home and process the Challenge pics to see if have anything worthy. 5 days before I fly out.

Entries have started rolling in, so just a reminder to all of the participants in the challenge (both day and night), you have until June 23rd to select your image, and send it to AsiaOne(at)leica.photos together with the title, film/iso, camera, lens and filter details. Please send it in a format suitable for the forum, so 1024px max.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

I've had a chance to go through the photos from Tokyo & Kyoto. From both pure enjoyment and photographically, it has been an incredible trip for Ritsuko and I. We enjoyed getting to know each and every one of you who came and we look forward to the next time we will meet again. Familiar faces have become friends. It really was because we had such a flexible group and positive group that made things click.

A big thanks to Simon for putting together a majority of the plans once the ball was rolling and our local welcoming crew/helpers Michiko, Sean, Takanori & Yoshi for their help on the ground. There were comments made from our group of how fun it was to have local Leica shooters involved more than usual and there were comments from our hosts about how our group were all "very much gentlemen and ladies".

Now it's time to get those Asia One Challenge photos sorted!

I'm seriously irritated with myself for getting my dates muddled as my intention was to have been there.

Nevertheless, glad that you all enjoyed yourselves and am looking forward to the photos.

Same here  :(  - never mind though - looking forward to the photos :) !!

Random photo upload to see how much EXIF gets uploaded with a jpg (aka how much work will I have removing all the exif and copyright info from all the submitted images? :) )

Edit: Humph, it retains all the EXIF :(

Edit 2: There's an app for that! EXIFPurge

Or if the 'Save for web' option is used in Photoshop the EXIF data is automatically stripped I believe.

Pete.

I tried in Lightroom but the only option there was to remove all exit with the exception of the copyright, which sort of gives he shooter's identity away :) I didn't try PS but the tool I mentioned is very simple - I can remove all info as a batch job on the proprietor directory.

Simon, I just checked your uploaded test image and easily determined your copyright data. However, I ran it through this little program

http://www.superutils.com/products/exifcleaner/#ordering

and it instantly totally cleaned exif data including copyright notice.

It is available as a free download for 30 days and an option to buy for $15 afterwards.
