janrzm Posted February 24, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 24, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Been a while since I posted anything on here, don't shoot me but I've been distracted with the A7r in the last few weeks. Anyway, a couple of days ago I did a little housekeeping and took this snap to document the occasion, made me wonder if I have a problem…..?? Cheers, Jason. jaapv Posted February 25, 2014 Share #4 Posted February 25, 2014 Yes, you have a problem, but it is a common one on this forum. You may have to speak to a psychologist about this, but make sure first that he is not a Leica owner himself, or he might end up encouraging you

StephenPatterson Posted February 25, 2014 Share #6 Posted February 25, 2014 Is there parity in the Howe household? Does your wife perhaps have a shoe collection that would rival Imelda Marcos?

efreed2754 Posted February 25, 2014 Share #13 Posted February 25, 2014 Since you asked.....see two problems! First, how do you decide which lens to use or to take on vacation? But then you must have a very large bag or SUV to carry these beauties. Second, how do you keep these lenses from getting jealous if you don't use them as much as their siblings? Enjoy Ed

Enjoy Ed Hey Ed, Great questions, I used to find it incredibly difficult to choose but it was ok because I had a great large bag - WOTANCRAFT – City Explorer 002 Ranger But then I wanted to be more deliberate and remove some of the dilemmas that come from carrying too much gear - Decision Time……… That didn't always go to plan….. - Sony A7R Like my children I try always to treat them equally All the best, Jason. I remember thinking that he must do a lot of low light super-wide photography to justify taking that large 21mm lens. Does one really need a faster 21mm lens than the pocketable f4 Skopar when travelling with the Monochrom camera? Nick
janrzm Posted February 26, 2014 Author Share #16 Posted February 26, 2014 I enjoyed reading the outcome of your trip. I remember thinking that he must do a lot of low light super-wide photography to justify taking that large 21mm lens. Does one really need a faster 21mm lens than the pocketable f4 Skopar when travelling with the Monochrom camera? Nick Thanks Nick, The answer to you question is no, your 21/4 Skopar will do a fine job on the MM. I took the 21/1.8 not for the speed but because it's the only 21mm lens I have, I had hoped to land the odd architectural shot along the way. Mistake on my part, all I did was add weight to an already heavy bag. In my case the 15/4.5 was the way to go. It wouldn't have had much use as it transpired but it weighs nothing…. Cheers, Jason.
